| Non-invasive, Relaxing,
Beautifying, Rejuvinating:
Facial muscles and the skin are closely related to the internal
organs, meridians, and Qi energy of the body. Traditional skin care
alone can't effectively address drooping facial muscles.
Acupuncture stimulates the muscles and
recenters the reserves of energy in the body, targeting most specifically
the Spleen Meridian System.
The technique brings more blood supply to the
face by improving circulation, providing a bright complexion, firm
muscles, and strong, elastic skin. Acupuncture also regulates facial
cells and sebaceous metabolism, increasing tone and elasticity of
the skin and muscles. The end result is a more radiant and youthful
appearance without the high cost and danger of surgery.
As we age, our skin begins to wrinkle both
from the loss of moisture as well as from the loss of cells. Cells
regenerate at a slower rate as we age, resulting in wrinkles.
At Heavenly Bodies Clinic we call our acupuncture
face lift treatment QIGLOW®
because the technique of putting tiny, hair thin needles into the
face at strategic points brings Qi to the face which brings energy
(glow) to the face. The result is a "lifting" of the skin,
and a tightening of the fibers below the surface of the skin. We
add a TDP treatment (heat through a porcelain disk), to rejuvenate
cells and an herbal facial to supply moisture and nutrients to the
skin.
QIGLOW® is a cosmetic treatment therapy
for:
- A more youthful appearance without the expense
or side-effects of drug or invasive methods such as botox or surgical
facelift
- Healing of facial skin conditions
- Clearing blemishes
- Maintaining healthy skin
- Softening the appearance of deep wrinkles
and eliminating small wrinkles
- Brightening and tightening facial skin
Even if you are planning a future surgical face-lift,
the QIGLOW® treatment can keep your skin looking bright, elastic
and youthful for many years.
A full treatment protocol is 10 sessions,
once per week, after which one monthly supportive session is recommended.

acupuncture and an herbal treatment protocol. |
Acupuncture: We use very tiny stainless
steel facial needles, sets of 10 packaged in a one-time use sterile
container, and place them in the direction of the flow of Qi, along
wrinkle lines, around the eyes and the chin line, the temporal area
and the forehead.
TDP Heat Treatment: Next you rest on the
acupuncture table under a TDP lamp for 15-20 minutes. The key element
of this lamp is its heat-treated black clay, which contains 33 different
essential mineral elements for the human body. This ceramic plate
emits a unique spectrum-electromagnetic wave in the infrared range
of 2 to 25 microns—which complement the bio-spectrum waves
released by the human body. These lamps are used extensively throughout
China for rehabilitation of sports injuries, treatment of skin diseases,
and healing of joint pain and arthritis.
Herbal Oil Treatment: For the last part
of the treatment we use oils with Chinese herbal infusions made
exclusively for Heavenly Bodies Clinic. The herbs have antiseptic,
anti-fungal and cellular regeneration properties. The herbs are
chosen for their ability to promote Qi and blood circulation, and
open the meridians.
At the completion of the protocol, it is recommended
that you schedule a maintenance session once a month. Conact the
Clinic for scheduling and pricing.
