The Weight Loss Club

I have been talking about losing that last 20 pounds for, well, a few years I think. Its time. Last time around, when I lost 40 pounds (I know, that’s seems impossible to me, too) I would weigh in once a week at the the Heavenly Bodies Clinic. Dr. Ana and Tiffany were a HUGE help in keeping me on track, with workouts, dietary advice and needles, of course! I still have all of that, so what’s my problem?

Then a friend told me about her office’s “Biggest Loser” challenge, and I thought, hmmmm… and the HBC Weight Loss Club (because we aren’t losers!) was conceived. Care to join me? Here’s how we will proceed:

1. Weigh In and Cash In on Sunday, 4 October: The HBC Team will be at the clinic between 0930 and 1130 to record your current “number” (it’s just a number, right?). The “Cash In” part? Oh, that’s where you give up a Jackson, a couple of Hamiltons (aka $20) for the “POUNDS POT”.

2. From 4 October until 18 January YOU lose the weight. Yes, that’s through the holidays. ALL of the holidays (like they say in the Government “we are here to help”).

3. FINAL weigh in and CASH OUT on Sunday 18 January. Whoever loses the most “curves” takes home the “pounds pot”. It may as well be you! After all, you are going to need some new clothes!

Of course, ALL of the resources of the Heavenly Bodies Clinic are at your disposal–from the sauna (work on your intention), to acupuncture (just ask for weight loss needles!), to meridian exercise (add an extra session each week), to massages, reflexology, 5-Flavor Eating advice, and, (why not?) even a haircut will take off a few ounces! ;~)

NOTE: If you cannot be in the clinic on October 4th, you may weigh in the following week, but you do NOT get any extra days beyond 18 Jan to lose, so get in there quick. Likewise, if you cannot be in the Clinic on the January 18th, you can weigh in BEFORE the 18th to be eligible for the cash. You may continue to lose weight beyond the 18th if you’d like.

    How are we doing WL Clubbers? Here’s a secret that might help boost you to your goal:

    Greens, greens, greens!

    Vegetables, of course. Lots of dark green leafys, broccoli, string beans… eat them up! Don’t know why, but they will help you lose weight. Eat as much as you want. And stay away from that candy bowl.
