Basic Medical Theories in Chinese Medicine: The 5 Elements and Yin-Yang

Chinese Medicine is a full medical system.

Every day in the clinic I never fail to be amazed by the tools of Chinese Medicine, and their usefulness in treating diseases of the body, imbalances of the mind, and disharmonies of the spirit.

The most well-known treatment is needles. In addition there are powerful herbs, heated herbal treatments, massage techniques, cupping techniques, acupressure, Tai Chi and Qi Gong, and food therapy.

One tool that I teach is an acupressure technique that I used about 9 years ago to solve a severe bout of insomnia…the insomnia has never returned. “Tapping”  is a simple acupressure technique that you can use on yourself, and others, to restore health.

In our YOUR HEALTH, YOUR LIFE, YOUR IDEAL SCENE Coaching sessions we talk about and teach our patients to “postulate” their future.

And today, at the start of 2015, I was inspired to create a new treatment plan.

(Just a side note…interestingly enough, I did not hear one single patient tell me about New Year’s Resolutions.   Is it because we have made and broken so many years of “postulates” that we no longer make them? Let me know your thoughts on that…)

Back to my new treatment plan.

The Treatment for 2015 is two fold.

1). Meditation: Watch the video for instructions to a meditation that is an easy enough task-towards-fulfillment-of-a-dream (a postulate);

2.) a flask of healing water.

Healing Water: For all the years of the clinic, I have used Essential Oils on acupuncture points. I even have a binder marked “Secret Formulas” which is stored on the counter and available to anyone who would like to use it  :-). The formulas are  based on an ancient Taoist Tradition of using Essential Oils on acupuncture points.

The Plan for 2015.

I am going to give my patients the meditation information, and make a Healing Water based on their meditation, which they’ll take home and drink throughout their period of treatment.

At the end of 2016 we’ll publish the results in the lives of those who participated.

If you would like to be in the study, let me know!
