Color Yourself Healthy & Bring on the Labor Day Events!

If variety is the spice of life… then color variety is the spiciEST.

Balanced health reflects in the color variety in your life. What color is your outfit today? What color are your accessories? What color is your meal?

Chinese Medicine associates a color with each of the organs systems, uses color to diagnose disharmony that can lead to disease, and then also uses color to determine treatment.

For example, the color white is associated with the Lung meridian and internally related to the Large Intestine. If you’re wearing mostly white today… and your skin has a white pallor… and your fingernail beds look particularly white… and you’re craving white cheese on white bread with white mayonnaise… and you grabbed the white mug out of the cupboard for your coffee this morning… and you’re thinking roasted white potatoes would be delicious for dinner… then you just might have a pattern of disharmony brewing in your Lung – Large Intestine system.

One way to harmonize health is to vary the colors in your life.

When you feel like dressing monochromatic, accessorize with a variety of color.

Planning tonight’s meal?  Step up to the plate:  Eat mostly green to calm the emotions; add some yellow to focus your thoughts; roasted red peppers will bring your energy up; white will ease your breathing and relax your chest and shoulders.

The perfect meal to ease into  the weekend’s events.

Wow, this is a really helpful and interesting article! I will definitely pay more attention to the foods I am craving to see if there are any patterns in color.
